About Us

The Club was formed in 1988 and we currently have a membership of around 60.

Our Agility Club is non-profit making but holds reserves to cover the purchase, maintenance and upkeep of our equipment and keep abreast of changes required by the Kennel Club.  Annual membership is just £10.00 per adult member and £5.00 per junior member renewable at 1st January every year.  In addition we charge £5.00 per dog/handler at our weekly one hour training sessions to partly cover the cost of hiring facilities at our local equestrian centre, The Grange, Northlew, near Okehampton.  Special internal and external training courses are charged at varying fees depending upon the venue and the expenses of the trainer.  Our income to cover these expenses is generally raised from the organisation and running of Kennel Club Open Agility Competitions and from the profits that these generate.

We hold an AGM each year, normally in March and the election of Officers and Committee members takes place during this meeting.   Please see our Committee page for details of our current committee.

The Committee is supported by two sub-committees - a "Show sub-committee" and a "Trainers sub-committee" comprising again of members who give up their time freely for the Club and at the cost of not being able to train their own dogs.

We’re always happy to welcome new members to our group. Drop in and see us or contact us – we’d love to meet you!
